Psychics commonly call themselves intuitivists or sensitives. So, you might ask, is there any difference between intuition and psychic ability? These two qualities are often used interchangeably because they describe similar abilities. Professional Tarot readers are normally sensitive to the vibration or energies of other people and things. Many cartomancers are sensitive to the energies of their cards and therefore 'read' their cards symbolically and intuitively. Intuition can be described as a 'sixth sense', ‘inner voice’, 'having a hunch' or a 'gut feeling'. If you are aware of, and act upon, your intuition you are well on the way to developing your psychic abilities. Intuition and psychic abilities can be developed through Tarot, Astrology, Numerology, Psychometry or Reiki (spiritual/energy healing). It is like exercising a muscle - the more it is used the stronger it becomes. Psychic abilities help us to 'read', interpret and understand things in the world around us and in our internal world. Senses includes Clairsentience (clear feeling), Claircognisance (clear knowing), Clairvoyance (clear seeing), and Clairaudience (clear hearing) Clairalience (clear smelling) Clairgustance (clear taste) and Clairtangency (clear touch).
My best wishes to you, Martha. Hello fellow tarot readers, artists, writers and teachers!
This year, 2023, we are again presenting the exciting, in-depth, successful 16-hour Tarot Course - Become a Tarot Reader - live at St. John's Church, Carrington Street, Adelaide. The course is delivered over eight x 2-hour classes and workshops. The course will be delivered fortnightly on Saturday mornings commencing Sat. 6 May and finishing Sat. 12 Aug., 2023. This definitive tarot course is ideal for anyone wanting to learn and/or improve their intuitive understandings, traditional (interpretive) knowledge and skills in reading tarot cards and spreads. I am biased (of course) but learning to read tarot is a most valuable talent and life-skill. Tarot reading is widely used for self-care, building self-confidence, developing psychic abilities and strengthening intuition, exploring creativity, divination and 'fortune-telling'. 'Become a Tarot Reader' workshops are semi-structured and interactive to maximise individual learning. We use the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Deck throughout the course as both a teaching and learning tool. Activities include learning the fundamental meanings of the Major and Minor Arcana. Tarot reading mastery is steady and progressive. A step-by-step approach is taken to reading spreads starting with the simple one-card reading to the complex The Full Celtic Cross spread. Instructional methods and resources are comprehensive and include workbooks, open and flexible discussion, individual reflection and engaging group-work, and illustrated presentations. The Fee for Become a Tarot Reader Course is very reasonable. Please Contact me for more information about course delivery, fees or bookings. My very best, Martha. |
