The WEA "A Taste of Tarot" is a very popular and long-running one-day WEA tarot class. This class introduces you to a fascinating and centuries old deck of cards. Historically tarot has been used for playing parlour games and entertainment; self-reflection, personal growth, creativity and self-care; fortune-telling and divination (connecting past-present activities and events to 'potential/possible futures'), In our 'A Taste of Tarot' classes we work exclusively with The Rider-Waite Deck (US Games). The class is designed and delivered for those seeking to either gain a fundamental understanding of the structure and meaning of the Major (Archetypes) and Minor (pip) Arcana or, as a tarot refresher class. Every student receives handout notes to assist in their learning, recognition and understanding of the 78 cards. In this class we learn to read one-card spreads. Many 'A Taste of Tarot' students keep and use their handout notes as a personal reference book for the WEA Tarot Level 2 - Reading 3-Card Spreads. Reading 3-Card spreads is fundamental to improving tarot knowledge, developing intuition, and enhancing problem-solving and divination skills.
